Don’t Hold It In

Don’t hold your feelings in until you explode! That’s not the best way to communicate. Communicate in real time. Express your point of view and be open to other perspectives. If you don’t have the words in real time or feel you can’t express yourself, try writing them down or taking deep breathes to de-escalate. The deep breathing will allow you to lower your heart rate as well as think and speak logically. When you hold your thoughts and feelings in the problem doesn’t change, issues don’t get resolved and resentment sets in. Don’t hold it in and Don’t lash out! Communicate!
